Photoluminescent Mandatory Safety Signs

Mandatory safety signs cover a wide range of health and safety issues. These are signs that tell people in the workplace everything that they must do in an emergency. Photoluminescent signs allow for these to be seen clearly when there is not enough natural or artificial light to see them normally.

One example is the 'Foot protection' sign. This tells the workers and visitors that they have to wear shoes or boots that can protect their feet if something were to be dropped on them. Many of the signs relate to PPE usage such as protective footwear, eyewear and ear protection.

Safety helmets are another aspect of PPE that features on the photoluminescent mandatory safety signs. The signs clearly point out which areas of the building can only be entered if wearing protective headgear. The signs are made from eco-friendly materials and will glow if the lights do go out. To prevent visitors from entering dangerous areas, 'Employees only' signs can be used. This can mark out areas where there are hazards such as chemicals or forklift trucks in use, or prevent people from going into areas where they might see things that are restricted, such as sensitive data. Other signs that are available include the instruction to wear relevant PPE in certain parts of the building. For example, when entering a factory, the worker or visitor might need foot protection, ear protection or a safety helmet.
