Ergonomic Supports
Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and musculoskeletal disorders are two of the most common injuries that can occur in the workplace.
One of the major problems in dealing with RSI and musculoskeletal disorders is that they are much harder to prevent than other hazards.
However, there are a variety of ways in which both workers and employers can arm themselves against contracting or worsening any existing RSI or disorders. One way is by investing in some ergonomic supports and protective gear.
We have a wide range of ergonomic products at Safetyshop, and we’re happy to help with any queries you have.
One of the most common causes of RSI, and one of the most serious health hazards that office workers face, is from overusing computers. RSI can be caused by both typing on a computer keyboard and using a mouse, and unfortunately it is very difficult to prevent against, except through the use of ergonomic supports. We have a Durable Keyboard Wrist Support, which is a non-slip wrist rest to be used in conjunction with a computer keyboard, and has a flexible filling for extra support, with a special fabric coating that protects the skin. For those who already suffer from RSI, rather than looking to prevent it, it may well be necessary to take extra precautions in order to stop it from worsening and relieve pain while working. For people in this situation, we have the Ergodyne Proflex® 670 Ambidextrous Wrist Support.
