Clear and Concise Wear Safety Harness Signs
- Every employer has the same duty of care to protect the health and safety of their staff while they're at work. This includes providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect them when certain hazards exist, backed up by a programme of safety signage, clear labels and training, amongst other things.
- By marking where PPE is required, any visitors to the workplace are immediately aware that they may be entering a hazardous environment and should take precautions, as well as acting as a powerful everyday visual reminder for staff to follow your established procedures. When positioned prominently, these wear safety harness signs should help to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
- The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations of 1996 state that mandatory signs - where an action must be followed for health and safety reasons - must have a blue circle, containing a white pictogram depicting the action, which may be accompanied by brief explanatory text underneath. By combining a pictogram with the text 'wear safety harness' the sign is instantly readable, even when time is short, by both English and non-English speakers, ensuring maximum understanding.
- Position the sign wherever you need it. Simply use the drop down menus above to choose between nine different sizes to match the level of prominence it needs to have to be effective. You can then select from three materials (polypropylene rigid plastic, self-adhesive rigid plastic or self-adhesive vinyl) to suit the demands of your working environment.
- Meeting the standards set by current UK and EU legislation, these signs are a clear and highly visible way to fulfil some of your obligations as an employer - and reduce the risk of injury in your workplace.
