- This sign has the message printed in grade 1 braille, a form of the writing system that's widely used and highly likely to be understood by those who know braille. It also has standard English text which is raised so that people with partial sight can feel the letters to help them understand what it says. It's printed in strongly contrasting colours, which helps some people to make out the letters where they wouldn't be able to in other colour schemes.
