Tamper-Resistant Meter Seals
- Designed to secure utility services, meter seals can be used in any situation where a tamper-resistant, incredibly strong, professional seal is required. As the seals can't be removed without the wire being deliberately cut, they are incredibly effective against tampering - whether from inexperienced customers attempting to access the technical components of the meter or from any other technical workers who need assurance that the unit is secure. Best suited to sealing domestic as well as industrial-sized electricity meters, gas meters and water meters, amongst others, they are flexible and versatile enough to be used to provide a hard-wearing yet unobtrusive seal in many contexts. Using tiny yet incredibly strong 0.35mm copper or monel wire linked to a lead roundel ferrule, the four-ply seals won't attract too much attention from non-technical members of the public.
- Available in convenient value packs of 250 seals, they're a cost-effective, low-tech and traditional method that has stood the test of time for their simple, strong design that prevents tampering and provides assurance. The wires are available in three standard-sized lengths (203mm, 305mm or 457mm), enabling the loop created to hold more or have more space away from the meter within which to work around. Choose between copper and monel wires to best suit the demands of your working environment and budgetary requirements. Ideal for sealing gas meters, electric meters, water meters, general utility meters, connector blocks, fuse boards, tachometers and taxi meters, they prevent unwanted tampering through their unobtrusive strength.
