Self-Adhesive ‘Dangerous for the Environment’ Symbols
- From June 1st 2015, it has been mandatory in the EU for companies to make use of labelling which meets GHS (Global Harmonised System) of classification and labelling of chemicals regulations.
- These self-adhesive labels, which are available in sheets of four, six or 20, feature the standardised symbol for ‘Dangerous for the Environment. It depicts a tree and a fish within a square with a red border.
- The symbols can be used in a range of environments and are ideal for clearly marking boxes which contain potentially hazardous materials. Companies should ensure that they have reassessed their classification and labelling needs and are meeting the GHS guidelines. These symbols can be used alongside other GHS-compliant signage such as GHS Symbols On-A-Sheet – Flammable, GHS Symbols On-A-Sheet – Corrosive and GHS Symbols On-A-Sheet – Harmful/Irritant.
