Danger battery charging area health & safety hazard signs
- These health and safety signs are designed to notify staff and visitors that they should take extra precaution in hazardous battery charging areas. Featuring the universally recognised symbol for 'battery charging', the signs state 'danger/battery charging area' in black text on a bright yellow background in order to grab the attention of those entering the dangerous area.
- According to the Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, hazard warning signs must be installed in dangerous areas to notify people to take extra care or precautions to avoid injury. Although your staff may be aware of the dangers of working in battery charging areas, visitors may not know the risks until they see appropriate signage. For added safety, you may also wish to install extra signage alongside this battery charging hazard sign to remind both workers and visitors to wear appropriate personal protective equipment - you can find a wide range of posters and signs in our Safety Clothing (PPE) Signs department.
- There are three different materials to choose from when purchasing these battery charging hazard signs. The rigid polypropylene signs are extremely durable and suitable for mounting on rough-textured walls to which self-adhesive signs wouldn't stick, but please note that you will need to drill holes in the sign and purchase sign fixings separately if you'd like to screw it directly to a surface. Alternatively, you could use SignFix weather-proof adhesive to install the sign outdoors with no need for screws. We also have available a rigid plastic variety with a self-adhesive backing, which makes installation far quicker and more convenient when dealing with smooth surfaces. Finally, the self-adhesive vinyl variety also offers ease of application, particularly on curved surfaces such as cylinders.
