Highly visible 'caution – hot surface' sign in rigid plastic or vinyl
- Wherever equipment heats up, there's a risk of dangerously hot surfaces that can cause injuries if people touch them without realising how high the temperature is. This is a particular problem in kitchens, but can also be the case in manufacturing, workshops and laboratories.
- Anywhere you have equipment with hot surfaces, it's essential that people are warned about it so they can avoid touching it with bare hands. If there are employees who need to handle hot equipment, make sure their hands are guarded with good quality PPE, for example, our Eurotechnique heat-resistant gloves.
- The sign is available with a self-adhesive backing, so you can mount it wherever you need to right away, without the need for any extra adhesives or fixing materials. This is particularly effective, as it means you can place the sign directly on the hot surface it's referring to, for increased visibility. If you order the sign without self-adhesive, it can be mounted using the method of your choice, such as our self-adhesive fixing tabs.
- With its standard heat warning symbol and universally recognised design, the sign conforms to BS 5499, which ensures it's likely to be understood by your staff and visitors. Displaying it where there's a dangerously hot surface helps you comply with the Health and Safety Regulations 1996.
- Designed in black and yellow, the sign is sure to grab people's attention and ensure they don't burn themselves by touching the hot surface. However, it's always a good idea to have a burns first aid kit handy, just in case there's an accident. The kit contains everything you need for effectively treating burns, and can be mounted on a wall for quick access and higher visibility.
- This sign is available in five different sizes, so you can make sure you won't be stuck with an inappropriate size for the space it needs to be displayed in. It's also offered in two different materials: rigid plastic or vinyl. Both materials are strong and durable, and the vinyl option is flexible, letting you display it on curved or flat surfaces for extra versatility.
